About the Author:
Lewis Carroll was born on 27 January 1832. He was educated atChrist Church, Oxford and went on to become a mathematics lecturerthere from 1855 to 1881. Lewis Carroll's most famous works areAlice's Adventures in Wonderland (published in 1865) and the sequelAlice Through the Looking-Glass, which contained the nonsense poemclassic The Jabberwocky (published in 1872). He died of bronchitison 14 July 1898.
