简介
莱曼·弗兰克·鲍姆（1856—1919），美国儿童文学作家。生于纽约州。著有《鹅妈妈的故事》等多部童话故事，其中本书又名为《奥兹国的魔法师》，是他创作的24部“奥兹”系列中的一部。该书出版后好评如潮，大受读者喜爱。鲍姆也因此被称为美国“童话之父”。 本书写的是堪萨斯州的小姑娘多露茜的故事。她和她的小狗托托被一阵威力无比的龙卷风吹到了奥兹国，在回家的漫长旅程中，不断有新的伙伴加入进来。其中有一心想要得到能够思考的脑子的稻草人，有想要一颗活跃的心的铁皮人，还有拼命想获得勇气的胆小的狮子。他们在加入这个队伍以前，各有各的遭遇，现在却成了亲密的旅伴。他们患难与共，最后都实现了各自的心愿。故事曲折动人，人物个性鲜明，令人爱不释卷。
