故事出自《长阿含经》。几个盲人各自抚摸大象的身体，每个人都以为自己所摸到的一部分就是大象，因此各人所说不一，争论不休。Six blind men walking on a road found their way forward blocked. One by one, they touched the obstacle, and each determined that it was something quite distinct: a pole, a fan, a pillar, a wall, a radish and a rope. How could that be?
