Catalogue of an exhibition of works by the Italian avant-garde artist Lucio Fontana, 1947-1967. The exhibition brought together two series, dedicated to the cities Venice and New York respectively, completed by Fontana in the early 1960s. Includes a reprinting of the artist’s "Manifesto tecnico," of 1951 translated into English by Charles Damiano with a commentary by Lawrence Alloway. Essays: "Lucio Fontana: Venice/New York," by Luca Massimo Barbero; "The originality of a master of anticipation," by Enrico Crispolti; "I only believe in art," by Paolo Campiglio; and "Lucio Fontana: materials 1959-1961," by Barbara Ferriani.
