简介
《常识》是托马斯·潘恩(Thomas Paine,1737～1809) 1776年1月以“一个英国人”的署名而发表的，它在当时的影响今人无法想象——北美大陆，几乎人手一本。成为《圣经》之后影响力最大、流传范围最广的一本书。
《常识》也被作为是北美人民独立战争的纲领，它的思想后来被《独立宣言》所吸收，成为美国政治制度的灵魂。可以说，这本书缔造了现代的美国，是改变美国的第一本书。
