简介
《剑桥少儿英语》第二级教材适用于已具备剑桥少儿英语第一级英语水平的儿童。分为上、下两册，共36个单元。本级教材在延续深化第一级教材的内容、词汇和教学理念的同时，加强了对学生连续表达能力的培养，增加了连词成句、连句成文的练习，内容从说自己家庭、朋友和爱好等加深到客观描述及故事复述。新增加的用英语介绍百科知识的Do you know版块大大增强了全书的趣味性及知识性。
本教材包括上、下两册图书、四盒听力磁带和一张介绍剑桥少儿英语学习系统和全国统一考试形式及过程的VCD光盘，是“剑桥少儿英语”学习系统唯一指定的培训教材。
剑桥少儿英语》由教育部考试中心中英教育测量学术交流中心和英国剑桥大学考试委员会的中国剑桥少儿英语高级培训官邱耀德先生、剑桥少儿英语师资培训基地王炯、梁清女士等执笔，新知堂教育网络技术发展有限公司制作，除经“剑桥少儿英语专家委员会”统一评审外，还先后经过剑桥大学考试委员会专家Melanie Williams女士、澳大利亚专家Marilyn Burke女士和人民教育出版社外语室主任龚亚夫先生等审定。
教育部部长陈至立同志特为本书撰写了序言，国家总督学柳斌同志题写了书名，英国剑桥大学考试委员会总裁米歇尔.霍尔斯特德先生专门审阅了本书并致辞《剑桥少儿英语》读者，对本教材给予了高度评价和充分肯定。
