《无死的金刚心》是“灵魂三部曲”中的重要著作，琼波浪觉，是来自藏区的瑜伽士，从小过着衣食无忧的生活，因为父亲的地位，身份显赫，但是在小说的开头，便记叙了琼波浪觉对父亲的信仰产生了怀疑，他决定离开藏区，寻找自己的终极信仰。变卖了家产，置换了黄金，琼波浪觉和班马郎从藏区一路向西，进入尼泊尔。在这里，他遇到了退位女神——莎尔娃蒂，两个人坠入爱河。莎尔娃蒂富可敌国，如果琼波浪觉选择留下，那将是一种富足、尊贵的生活，但是他*终选择继续西行，继续寻觅，留下莎尔娃蒂苦苦等待。
