《隐喻的研究与应用》主要内容简介：Researching into metaphor has become one of the fastest-growingand important areas of language research over the past twenty years,and metaphor is now recognised as central to language use. Theimplications of these findings are only just beginning to be felt inapplied linguistics and this book is designed to convey the excite-ment of metaphor study to a wider applied linguistic audience ofresearchers, teacher trainers, programme developers and postgradu-ate students. The authors of the 12 papers are all international activeresearchers, contributing from their various backgrounds to this livelycollection. Researching and Applying Metaphor presents a series ofcase studies plus an innovating initial section which discusses keyaspects of researching metaphor in use.Lynne Cameron is a senior lecturer at the School of Education,University of Leeds.Graham Low is a senior lecturer and Director of the LanguageTeaching Centre and EFL Unit, University of York.
