简介
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is the only viable way to extractand transport natural gas from areas not serviceable by a pipeline, but it also poses safety risks. This book examines the safetyconcerns regarding LNG, and examines the debate between itsadvocates and its opponents. The text considers risks on theextraction, transportation, and maintenance of LNG; includesdiscussion of case studies and LNG-related accidents over the pasthalf-century; and summerizes the findings of the GovernmentalAccountability Office's (GAO) survey of nineteen LNG experts fromacross North America and Europe.
