This is the third volume of a four-volume handbook dealing with the field of human-computer interactions, edited by Sears (information systems, U. of Maryland Baltimore County) and Jacko (director, Institute for Health Informatics, U. of Minnesota). It addresses design issues related to user and domain diversity. It includes 13 chapters on gender issues, design for older users and children, physical and mental/perceptual disabilities and design, design for functionally illiterate populations, and computing technologies for deaf and hard of hearing users.
