简介
本书根据《九年义务教育初中英语课程标准》五级的要求，以英国语文、美国语文和加拿大语文的材料为主，辅以其他经典阅读材料和经过改编的时新英语素材，作为初中生课外英语读物和辅助英语教材，帮助学生达到课标中五级的能力要求。五级下的选材以记叙文、议论文为主。
