简介
Vol. 1: Composites: Composites for engineering applications, covers the following: Constituent materials (the fibers and matrix materials of which composites are made), the forms in which they are available for use, and analysis and design of basic composites and structures made from composites. Articles on manufacturing processes, sections on quality control, testing and failure analysis are included. Applications for and experience with composites are reported in a section that ranges across aircraft, automotive, marine, and recreational applications. A final section on materials for special applications describes metal-matrix, ceramic, and carbon-carbon composites.
