Eisenberg and Kauzmann, not further identified, summarize some of the most important and reliable data on water, and present the theories that are most effective in correlating these data. Rather than trying to produce a compendium of data, they focus on relating the properties of water to its structure. Therefore, such properties as thermal conductivity and surface tension of the liquid are not discussed because they have not yet contributed to the understanding of the liquid structure. Readers are expected to have completed a first course in physical chemistry. Distributed in the US by Oxford University Press, which published the 1969 edition.
