简介
本书突出了“有意义的学习”在实践中的应用。第一，本书为绝大多数的词语提供了中文注释。这样，既节省了大家查词典所需要花去的宝贵时间，也使大家有效地把单词读音和单词意义联系在一起。第二，音素发音练习从原来的词→词语→短句→篇章的模式，使大家在语境中获得语音和语言意义。这一点是至关重要的。第三，本书增加了很多感悟、辨识、认知、比较以及听写和背诵练习。这些练习不但有助于记忆的强化和知识的巩固，而且也有助于创造思维的开发。除上述外，本书还增加了“语音知识介绍”、“语法知识介绍”以及“书写练习”、“造句练习”等多种形式的练习方式，使读者在培养新的语音习惯的同时获得全方位的、最为基础的语言训练。更重要的是，为尽可能地满足不同层面读者的不同需要，本书还增加了“初级”和“中级”两个层面的语音练习。这种做法既扩大了本书的适用和使用范围，而且也为读者提供了更大、更灵活的选择空间。除上述增加的内容，本书还十分强调语言习得过程中的“语境效应”。除了强调语境效应，本书还十分注意强化学习者的记忆。为了最大程度地加强读者的记忆，我们把知识介绍和多种不甘落后 练习结合在一起。特别是其中的“造句练习”、“听定练习”和“背诵练习”，均是强化记忆的有效途径。
