The original plan for the anthology was to reconstruct Austrian Meinong's (1853-1920) contributions to science, and the school that arose from his thought completely and faithfully. Five years on, however, his theory of modality and the work of some of his students are not covered. Still, scholars of philosophy from Europe and the US outline his life, times, and work; profile 10 of his philosophical descendants; and explore how psychology, logic, ontology, metaphysics, and value theory play out in his philosophy.
