This book was written primarily for the electronic circuit design engineer, who can use the circuits as they are, or, if he prefers, adapt them to suit his exact needs. However, it is also of prime importance and interest to both hobbyists, who may use the circuits for designing alarms, hi-fi systems, treasure finders, and other gadgets, and the engineering student, who would use it as both guide and source book in his studies, for constant reference. The illustrated abstracts cover some 3600 electronic circuits articles, logically organized by subject, with concise descriptions of circuit, and accompanying circuit diagram, complete with values of all important parts. All articles are cross-referenced in the index, which lists each circuit under all of the many different names by which it may be known, by performance parameters, and by applications and many other categories. Special features include a glossary of the standard abbreviations used in abstracts, and a chart showing the symbols most commonly used for solid-state devices on the diagrams, with the name of each, and with terminals identified.
