简介
This textbook brings a sociological perspective to the discussion of environmental problems, housing and urbanization, power and work, poverty and social class, gender inequality and heterosexism, race and ethnic relations, crime and violence, the family, health care, education, alcohol and drug abuse, and sexual behavior. It begins by explaining the idea of "social problems" and by contrasting functionalist, conflict theorist, interactionist, and postmodernist perspectives. Parrillo teaches at William Paterson University. Annotation 漏2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
